Turkey is a young destination for golf tourism in Turkey. The first golf course, National Golf Course is opened in belek on 1994. That weas the start of the golf tourism business in Belek, Antalya, Turkey. The great succes of the golf course interested more investors from Turkey to open golf courses. Then after the Tat Golf course & Nobilis Golf Course and Gloria Golf Course are opened in 1997. Tat golf course was owned by the Tat Golf Hotel. Which was actually a joint venture with Neckermann and was called Paradise Tat Beach Golf Hotel. Gloria Golf course is opened together with the most likely golf hotel called Gloria Golf Resort. After two years the Robinson club took over the management of Club Nobilis. In 2001 and 2002 the Sirene Golf and Wellness Hotel opened its two brilliant courses Pasha and PGA Sultan. The gloria hotels group opened in 2005 the Gloria new course. In 2007 Cornelia De Luxe Resort made an investment and let the fameous designer Nick Faldo to design the todays Cornelia Faldo Course. The year 2007 was the opening year of Sueno Hotels golf belek and their two pga design courses Pines and Dunes. Then after the fameous designer Colin Montgomerie designed the Montgomerie Golf Course and it is opened in the year 2008. The year 2008 was a very developing year for golf, the Carya golf course and the Lykia Links Golf courses are opened on this year. Now a days we have 14 golf courses in Belek region and over 50 five star Hotels are hardly working to fill the requirementsd of their international clients.
